What is SoulCollage®

SoulCollage® was created by Seena Frost and visit the world of SoulCollage for more information.

I am a trained facilitator for this method. SoulCollage® was developed by Seena B. Frost in the 1980s and 1990s as she combined her background in psychotherapy, spirituality, and creativity. She formally introduced the method in her book SoulCollage® Evolving (first published in 2001). Since then, it has grown into an internationally recognized process used for self-discovery, personal growth, and intuitive exploration.

SoulCollage® is a deeply intuitive and subconscious process, inviting you to trust yourself as you explore your inner world through imagery, symbolism, and personal meaning. By creating collage-style cards, you tap into the wisdom of your higher self, the collective consciousness, and even the natural world, allowing deeper insight to emerge. This practice helps you connect with the many parts of yourself while also expanding your sense of belonging in the universe—whether through personal spirituality, connection to Mother Earth, or your way of making sense of life’s mysteries. SoulCollage® adapts to your beliefs, guiding you toward self-trust, and deeper inner listening to yourself.

More Information:

The cards you create with images (digital or cut-out)  represent different aspects of yourself, your relationships, and the universal themes that influence your life. These cards become a visual map of your psyche, helping you uncover insights, foster self-awareness, and integrate hidden or fragmented parts of yourself. Your own personal oracle deck!

This process blends psychology, subconscious, and spirituality (for those who choose to include it) in an open-minded manner and deeply personal way. SoulCollage® invites you to explore your authentic self through imagery, creativity, journaling, and reflection, making it a fun, expressive, and insightful form of therapy.

What it is not
  • It is not ART.  It is more of an intuitive experience, but it is a creative expression - To be honest I think everyone is an artist! You can tell me you're not an artist, that's fine. lol. But we all can create!

  • It is not a vision board

  • Not Tarot or Oracle - Though I use these as a projective technique, I’m also really interested in tarot and oracle cards—so if that resonates with you, feel free to bring them to your session.

  • Ethically, it’s important to respect and honor each person’s belief system—whether religious, spiritual, nature-based, or intuitive—embracing how they connect with the world. I integrate what feels meaningful to you in a way that supports your self-exploration and therapeutic process. I’m open-minded and happy to explore whatever aligns with your journey, as many paths to wholeness.

The Four Suits of SoulCollage®

In SoulCollage®, cards are organized into four suits, each representing different aspects of your inner and outer life: Each suite represents different aspects of your inner and outer world. These suits help you explore your personal journey, emotional patterns, relationships, and deeper sources of wisdom. You create your collage cards for each suite - how many - its endless (except the companion suit as its related to your charkas as animals so there are 7)

1. The Committee Suit

This suit represents your inner parts or voices—the aspects of your personality that makeup who you are. These can include your Inner Critic, Nurturer, Protector, Creative Self, or any other part that plays a role in your life. This suit aligns beautifully with Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, as it allows you to give a voice and image to these parts, helping you build a relationship with them and access your Self-energy.

2. The Community Suit

The Community Suit honors the people, animals, or groups that have influenced and supported you. These cards reflect your external connections, such as loved ones, mentors, pets, or communities that have played significant roles in your life. By creating these cards, you celebrate the relationships that shape you and integrate their impact into your sense of self.

3. The Companion Suit

This suit connects to the energy of your chakras and the animals that intuitively resonate with each energy center. These cards help you explore your physical, emotional, and spiritual energy, integrating body-mind awareness into your therapy. The Companion Suit bridges the physical and symbolic worlds, supporting a deeper connection to your energy system.

4. The Council Suit

The Council Suit represents archetypes and universal energies that guide and influence your life. These cards tap into the rich symbolic language of Caroline Myss's archetypes and Carl Jung’s concepts, such as the Hero, Healer, Shadow, or Seeker. They invite you to engage with larger-than-life themes and forces, providing a lens through which to explore your life’s purpose and spiritual growth.

Integrating SoulCollage® with Therapy

SoulCollage® is a powerful tool that enhances traditional therapy by engaging the right brain through imagery, symbolism, and creativity. It integrates seamlessly with:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) to create cards to represent your protective and exiled parts, helping you deepen your relationship with them and access your Self-energy (ex. compassion, curiosity, calm, clarity).

  • Archetypal Work to explore and embody universal archetypes, connecting with their strengths and challenges in your own life. I get inspiration from Carl Jung and Caroline Myss.

  • Journaling therapy is the use of prompts and reflections to process the imagery, uncover insights, and integrate the messages from your cards into your daily life.

For those who choose to include a spiritual perspective, SoulCollage® offers a non-denominational, open-minded way to connect with your inner wisdom, higher self, or universal energy. This makes the process adaptable to people from all walks of life and belief systems. I appreciate it accommodates the individual's belief systems. It is inclusive.

Who is SoulCollage® Therapy Best For?

SoulCollage® therapy is ideal for individuals who:

  • Enjoy visual expression

What to Expect in Our Sessions and Between Sessions
Gathering Images

The process begins by collecting images—from magazines, online sources, or personal collections. The key is to choose intuitively, not logically—letting the images speak to you rather than analyzing them. These images will later form the foundation of your SoulCollage® cards.

Creating Your Cards

In sessions and on your own, you will assemble these images onto 5x8-inch cards to represent different aspects of yourself, your relationships, archetypes, or guiding energies. Each card is a visual representation of a part of you—whether it’s an inner protector, a wounded child, an external influence, or a universal force shaping your journey.

Exploring and Reflecting on Your Cards

During sessions, we will use parts of language and archetypal exploration to uncover the meaning behind your cards. "YOUR CARDS SPEAK TO YOU", Learning to listen to a different part of yourself, letting go and accessing what they symbolize, and letting that guide your writing. Hence intuitive feeling aspect of the process, - what does this card (or energy from the card called Neter) have to tell you? We might discuss what emotions, memories, or insights arise when looking at an image and how it relates to your inner world. This process helps you gain a deeper understanding of your emotions, thought patterns, and subconscious influences. About listening to your own self-conscious and higher self.

Engaging with Your Cards Between Sessions

To deepen the connection with your cards, you will be given prompts to dialogue with them and reflect on their messages. A common practice is the “I am the one who...” exercise, where you allow the card to “speak,” revealing its meaning and how it connects to your life. As your deck grows you will refer to your deck often to help you process thoughts and feelings.  You will ask a question and intuitively draw from your own personal oracle deck to get information for yourself.

Ongoing Exploration and Thematic Work

As your deck grows, we can focus on specific themes, such as healing, personal growth, self-trust, or setting intentions. Over time, your SoulCollage® deck becomes a living reflection of your inner world, offering insight, support, and clarity as you navigate life’s challenges and transformations. You can ask your deck questions and allow the card you choose to speak to you - its your energy - you created this just for you!

This process provides a structured yet intuitive way to engage with your subconscious, regulate emotions, and develop a deeper connection with yourself. It creates space for growth, healing, and self-discovery.
