Healing the Healers: A Guided Journey for Therapists 

 

An 8-Week Experience for Those Who Hold Space for Others

As therapists, healers, and caregivers, we dedicate ourselves to supporting others—but how often do we create space for our own healing? This 8-week experiential group is designed specifically for those in helping professions, offering a structured yet deeply personal journey to reconnect with yourself, explore your inner world, and strengthen your emotional well-being.

Through archetypal exploration, therapeutic writing, guided meditation, and creative self-reflection, you will uncover the deeper layers of your own healing process. Each week introduces a new theme and archetype, guiding you through the aspects of yourself that need attention, renewal, and empowerment.

We will incorporate SoulCollage or Image Work. Please see my page about SoulCollage. If you choose not to do SoulCollage you can integrate image work via drawing. 

 

I assume many are new to SoulCollage, so I may need to have one class dedicated to teaching the basics of the process- so this may be 9 weeks.

What to Expect

Each session includes:

✔️ Grounding Practices 
✔️ Therapeutic Writing – Thought-provoking prompts to explore personal themes and self-awareness.
✔️ Image Exploration – Using SoulCollage® or Active Imagination, participants create or select images that reflect their emotions and experiences.
✔️ Dialogue with the Image – A practice to access deeper subconscious insights through symbolic work.
✔️ Guided Meditation – Each session includes a live or recorded meditation set to theme
✔️ Personal Reflection & Homework – Gentle prompts to carry the work beyond the session.

Weekly Themes & Archetypes

🔹 Week 1: The Sacred Space Holder – Establishing self-care as a sacred practice & creating space for personal healing.
🔹 Week 2: The Wounded Healer – Understanding how personal wounds shape our healing work & addressing self-neglect.
🔹 Week 3: The Compassionate Witness – Releasing guilt & embracing self-compassion.
🔹 Week 4: The Emotion Keeper – Honoring & holding space for your own emotions.
🔹 Week 5: The Boundaries Keeper – Managing emotional triggers & protecting your energy.
🔹 Week 6: The Wise Healer – Reconnecting with inner wisdom & self-trust.
🔹 Week 7: The Joyful Healer – Rediscovering play, creativity, and pleasure in your healing work.
🔹 Week 8: The Integrative Healer – Bringing it all together & creating a sustainable self-care practice.

Each week, participants will embody the archetype assigned to them, carry its energy, and engage in deep personal exploration through:

  • Therapeutic writing exercises

  • Guided meditations to integrate healing themes

  • Weekly grounding activities & personal reflection practices

The class will be primarily experiential, with 75% focused on hands-on practices such as image creation, therapeutic writing, grounding exercises, meditation, and guided exploration. The remaining 25% will involve optional sharing and reflection, allowing participants to discuss their experiences while keeping the focus on personal integration, vs a support group.
